Planning Application Submitted
The planning application for all the elements of the works that have an external impact-eg to the Tower, the access to the churchyard, the pathway to the north door, the external interpretation, the new noticeboard and the new door to the south porch, was submitted to BANES on Tuesday 17th December, 2019.
Successful Public Consultation
The public consultation of the Project Newton plans took place over the weekend of 30th November and 1st December 2019. Over 120 people attended and several pages of flipchart were filled with comments. Thank you to everyone who participated and who attended

There is to be a public consultation on 30th November and 1st December 2019 in St Laurence Church when you can see the detailed plans and talk to those directly involved and give us your comments, feedback and thoughts on what is proposed.
Local charity donates £58,000
Approval was granted by the School House Trust for a donation of £58,000 in October 2019. The School House Trust manages the rental income from the School House, a property in East Harptree which it owns.
PCC approves plans for church
The PCC of the United Parish at their meeting on 6th November 2019 received presentations from Tomas Griffin of Benjamin and Beauchamp and Ruth Gofton of Heritage and Community and unanimously approved the proposed plans for the church reflected here.
Heritage Fund donates first 10%
The Project Newton Fund has passed the 10% mark with a grant from the Heritage Fund of £83,000. The Heritage Fund distributes National Lottery grants from £3,000 to £5million and over, funding projects that sustain and transform the UK’s heritage.
